Yogananda Knowledge Center (YKC) at Shoolini University hosted a training session with EBSCO. Mr. Ritesh Kumar, Senior Training Manager at EBSCO. The session was organized on the significance and utilization of EBSCO’s research databases and E-books on the EBSCOhost platform. Mr Kumar shared valuable insights into accessing EBSCO content remotely through the EBSCO Mobile App.
Mr. Kumar further commenced the session by guiding attendees on navigating the EBSCO Mobile App, showcasing the seamless accessibility of databases and E-books on smartphones. Credentials for remote access were shared with participants, ensuring a hands-on learning experience. The training encompassed an introduction to various search operators and tips for efficient use of EBSCO databases, with students assigned specific tasks to apply these techniques.
The comprehensive session further included a live demonstration of the tools and options available on the EBSCO website. The practical examples illustrated by the trainer equipped students with a deeper understanding of utilizing EBSCO’s resources effectively.
The session was coordinated by Senior Librarian Mrs. Arti Thakur and was attended by around 300 students from various courses. Around 67 students from SILB also visited the university and participated in the session.
