A hill collapse on the Theog-Hatkoti route close to Koteshwari Mata Temple has forced the road to be closed. Both locals and visitors are experiencing difficulties as entirely traffic stopped in the region.
The report indicates that a significant portion of the road is covered in stones and debris due to the landslide.
Fortunately, there were no cars on the road at the time of the occurrence, averting a serious collision. Rescue and relief teams were dispatched to the scene as soon as the administration heard of the incident.
The work of removing the debris with the help of machines is going on,but the work is being hampered due to the continuous falling stones.
The administration has appealed to the people to use alternative routes and avoid unnecessary travel. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in the area for the next few days, due to which there is a possibility of more landslides. Travelers have been advised to get information about the condition of the road before traveling.
