Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Public Works, Health and Family Welfare and Information and Public Relations Department) Sanjay Awasthi has urged the students to make good use of technology so that it can be helpful in achieving their goals. Sanjay Awasthi was addressing the annual prize distribution ceremony at Government Senior Secondary School, Darlaghat in Arki assembly constituency today.
Sanjay Awasthi said that at present the dependence of the young generation on smart phones is increasing. Apart from harming their mental and physical health, it is also tearing apart the social fabric of the youth. He said that use of smart phones should not turn into misuse. In this direction, while parents and teachers will have to explain to the young generation, the youth will also have to curb their tendency to misuse smart phones. He said that time is extremely valuable and only proper use of time can make the future secure. He urged the parents to give more time to the youth.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, every possible effort is being made to increase the quality in education. He said that with the aim of increasing the level of education, education will be started in English medium from the first class in all government schools so that the competitive abilities of the youth can be increased. He said that Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding Schools to be established in the state will also prove important in this direction.
Sanjay Awasthi urged the students to inform their families and others about the state government’s ambitious Rajiv Gandhi Self-Employment Start-up Scheme. This scheme will be helpful in providing self-employment to the youth.
The Chief Parliamentary Secretary said that the development of the area is of paramount importance and there will be no shortage of funds in this direction. He said that a provision of Rs 17 lakh has been made for the construction of science wing building in Government Senior Secondary School, Darlaghat. He announced to give Rs 02 lakh for the construction of toilet in the school. He said that the construction work of additional building in the school at a cost of Rs 20 lakh will start soon. He said that the construction work of the college building will start soon in Darlaghat at a cost of Rs 14.57 crore.
Sanjay Awasthi said that sewerage system will be established in Darlaghat under NABARD by spending Rs 69 crore. Rs 1.30 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of lower Nauni road. He said that an amount of Rs 2.11 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of a link road from the local veterinary dispensary to Kotla Shivnagar. He said that Rs 61.46 lakh has been sanctioned for the road from Nauni to Baga. The construction work of Syar to Kun-Bagi road is in progress at a cost of Rs 74 lakh. He announced to provide one lakh rupees each to Mahil Mandal Budmoh and Mahila Mandal Nauni.
On this occasion, he also announced to give Rs 2100 to the students who presented the cultural program and Rs 21 thousand to the organizing committee.
Sanjay Awasthi also honored the meritorious students of the school.

On this occasion, colorful programs depicting Pahari, Rajasthani and other cultures were also presented by the students.
