Shimla
Congress workers showed great enthusiasm in the ‘Vote Chor, Kursi Chhod’ rally organized in Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. But apart from the rally, indiscipline of two factions was also seen in the Congress headquarters.
Earlier, due to the ‘Vote Chor, Kursi Chhod’ rally, state in-charge Rajni Patil, state president Pratibha Singh, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy CM, all ministers, MLAs, chairman-vice chairman of corporation boards and other elder leaders and former ministers were present in the rally. This rally was organized at the Congress state headquarters.
During the rally, indiscipline was also seen among Congress workers. Supporters of CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Vikramaditya Singh clashed with each other while raising slogans. Both factions were raising slogans in support of their respective leaders. Due to this, the atmosphere became heated for some time and Congress President Pratibha Singh had to stop her speech. After the intervention of co-incharge Chetan Chauhan, the workers were pacified, after which the sloganeering gradually subsided.
After the atmosphere calmed down, Pratibha Singh started her address. She said that this enthusiasm of the workers should be seen in the future as well. She said that the leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has strongly raised the issue of vote theft and now the Congress will take this issue to every village. Pratibha Singh also demanded from the Congress high command from the stage to form the state executive soon. Pratibha Singh said that such enthusiasm should be seen in the future as well. On the other hand, Gagret MLA Rakesh Kalia surrounded the journalists on the chaos in the Congress state headquarters and said that this program is of the Congress and not a program for the media. Angered by this, all the journalists left the program. Due to the rally in the Congress state headquarters, the VVIP vehicles were parked on Cart Road. Also, police vehicles have been parked in the no parking zone. Vehicles have also been parked on the bridge near the Combermere Hotel, flouting the rules.
