Road Safety..Shimla Police Prepared effective traffic plans in the year 2023..
“One minute traffic Plan” to decongest the Shimla Capital City was proved exceptionally useful to decongest the city as well as relieved city of big Jams which Shimla used to face in the summer & winter seasons.
“One Minute Traffic Plan” This was initiative to streamline Traffic Jams was “Our Plan of the Year” for Capital City Shimla.
During winter season this plan received huge appreciation on social media Platforms”
During this time 70 thousands students commute daily on roads from KG to University level.
“Apple on Wheel” was special plan to facilitate the transportation of Apple crop during the Apple Seasonb approx 3 crore boxes were transportated. Interestingly Road accidents were reduced 50% during the Apple Season.
Use of GPS enabled vehicles in the “Apple Season” Transportation has reduced the theft of vehicles loaded with the Apple Crop, almost by 100%. As only one matter was reported later on the vehicle was also traced being GPS enabled.
Similarly, this year Shimla Police Registered 424 cases under ND&PS Act against Drug peddlers, which were all time high in any District of Himachal & Arrested 676 persons which are 37% of the total arrests of the state.
Property worth 2 crores was under investigation for freezing & 135 vehicles seized further Property of 1.5 crores has been freezed.
There was 23% increase in the number of vehicles which crossed Shimla Shoghi Barrier this year summer season as well as winter season
This year Shimla Police did less Challans approx 45% Challans less despite the fact accidents were also reduced by 15%.
