Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has announced the dates of monsoon holidays for all the summer, winter, and special area (like Kullu, Nalagarh, Paonta Sahib etc.) schools of the state. All schools have been instructed to strictly follow the timetable issued during the holidays.
These holidays have been decided according to the location of the school and the weather. All schools will have to follow these dates. If any school does not follow these rules or remains open during the holidays and any accident occurs, then the school administration will be responsible for it.
The board has clarified that, if any school is found open during monsoon holidays or any accident occurs due to rain, then the entire responsibility will be of the school administration. Apart from this, if the schools do not follow the government instructions, then strict action will be taken against them as per the rules. Therefore, it is necessary for all schools to fully follow the rules of holidays.
Holidays decided due to heavy rains and landslides

The water level of the rivers has increased due to continuous heavy rains, and incidents of landslides have been reported in many areas. Districts like Kangra, Mandi, Sirmaur and Solan are on high alert. Similarly, schools and colleges have been closed in Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital and Chamoli in Uttarakhand due to a red alert.
