After a long time, the weather has changed in Himachal Pradesh. On Sunday, the first snowfall of the season occurred in Kufri of Shimla, Churdhar of Sirmaur, Nauhradhar, Haripurdhar and Kilad of Chamba, while snow fell on the Ridge ground of Shimla as well. Snowfall has also occurred on the high peaks including Rohtang Pass, Baralacha, Koksar, Sissu, Darcha, Jispah, Kunjum Pass in Lahaul-Spiti. There has been light drizzle in Naina Devi of Kullu and Bilaspur.
Cold winds continued to blow throughout the day in the state, due to which the maximum temperature of the entire state has dropped by 5 to 6 degrees. The minimum temperature in seven areas of the state has reached around zero. The minimum temperature in Tabo reached minus 13.1 degrees, which is the lowest so far this season. Apart from this, Narkanda of Shimla also fell to minus, while the mercury of Manali and Solan reached zero. Due to snowfall, there was a traffic jam due to slippery roads in Atal Tunnel and Sissu. 100 tourists trapped in the jam were rescued. Lahaul-Spiti Superintendent of Police Mayank Chaudhary said that snowfall has started in Lahaul-Spiti, so tourists should travel keeping in mind the weather. Sach Jot of Pangi, a tribal area of Chamba district, received snowfall of up to 30 cm. Apart from this, up to 15 cm of snow fell in Hudan Bhatori, Sural Bhatori, Chask Bhatori and Thandal of the district. On the other hand, there was snowfall of up to six centimetres in Kugati, Mani Mahesh, and Chaubia of Bharmour.
