Bilaspur/Punjab:
Research scholar and devotional–Sufi singer Seema Gautam, who is pursuing her PhD on the literature of noted writer S. R. Harnot, is set to release the first bhajan of her music series on February 23 at Kiratpur, Punjab. The devotional track will be available on YouTube under the title “SEEMA G SERIES.”
The song has been written and composed by Sucha Chaunta Ji, with music by Damu, while the videography has been done by R Creation. The poster of the bhajan was unveiled on February 19 in Kiratpur. Seema credited her mother, family, and music group for their constant support.
Seema is currently pursuing her PhD at Desh Bhagat University under the guidance of Dr Arvinder Kaur Chumber. She is also associated with the Himalaya Sahitya Sanskriti Evam Paryavaran Manch. A resident of Chhamb Bujhan village in Naina Devi tehsil of Bilaspur district, Seema has overcome significant personal challenges to continue her education and musical journey.
After completing her Master’s degrees in Hindi and Music and a B.Ed., she enrolled in a PhD programme while managing household responsibilities. Following the demise of her father during her college years, Seema continued her studies with determination, supporting her family through her musical performances.
Popular on religious platforms across Punjab and the border areas of Himachal Pradesh, Seema is now launching her independent devotional series. Notably, the entire project has been produced through her own resources without any sponsorship.
S. R. Harnot and members of the literary and cultural forum extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Seema Gautam for her new musical venture.
