Inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony at a cost of approximately Rs 72 lakh in Gram Panchayat Kotlu.
Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi said that the state government is moving forward to pave the way for Himachal’s prosperity by making villages self-reliant. To achieve this objective, new schemes are being implemented to boost the rural economy. Sanjay Awasthi today inaugurated the newly constructed Panchayat Bhawan, built at a cost of Rs 50 lakh, in the village Panchayat Kotlu of the Arki assembly constituency. He also laid the foundation stone for the Panchavati Park, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 21.63 lakh in the village Shera.
Addressing the gathering, Sanjay Awasthi said that developing rural areas is essential to moving the state forward on the path of development. Under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, various new schemes have been launched to further strengthen the rural economy. He said that the beneficial results of these schemes are providing widespread relief to farmers, gardeners, and livestock farmers.
He said that to strengthen the economy of farmers and livestock farmers, the minimum support price for wheat, maize, and turmeric has been increased. The minimum support price for cow milk has been increased from Rs. 45 to Rs. 51 per liter, and the price of buffalo milk has been increased from Rs. 55 to Rs. 61 per liter. This is bringing about an unprecedented improvement in the economic condition of farmers and livestock farmers.
The MLA said that most of Himachal Pradesh is rural, and the state’s people derive a significant portion of their income from agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry. He stated that the state’s interests lie in the interests of farmers, gardeners, and animal herders. The state government will implement several schemes in the future to further strengthen the rural economy.
Sanjay Awasthi said that in addition to strengthening the rural economy, the state government is making every effort to provide employment and self-employment opportunities to educated youth. He added that the selection process has been made more transparent and effective to ensure that youth receive the appropriate rewards for their hard work.
The MLA stated that the damage caused by the heavy rains in the Arki Assembly constituency has been estimated at approximately ₹7 crore. He added that roads closed due to the disaster have been reopened. He commended officials for the excellent completion of the repair work.
On this occasion, the MLA honoured Sant Ram and Prakash Chand who donated land for the construction of Panchayat Ghar Kotlu.
Sanjay Awasthi announced Rs 1.5 lakh each for Moksha Dham Barashnu and Fugana, Rs 10 lakh for the construction of two additional rooms in Government Secondary School Shera and Rs 11,000 each to Mahila Mandal Shera, Samana, Fugana and Barashnu.
On this occasion, the MLA listened to the problems of the people and instructed the officials to resolve them quickly.
