Shoolini School of Hospitality and Hotel Management organised a compact series of 10 purposeful webinars during the pandemic lockdown. Eminent Speakers from Academia as well as from the Hospitality Industry participated.
In the first of the series, Nirmal Kumar, Area Director of Revenue Strategy based out of Abu Dhabi, presented his experience on “Revenue Management at internationally acclaimed Anantara Hotels”.
This was followed by David Mathews, GM at Oberoi Trident Bandra Kurla Mumbai who spoke on “Rewriting the RuleBook for the New Normal”. Shreyas Ladde, Hotel Manager at Holiday Inn Atrium Singapore, participated in a discussion on the “TSF factor – Toil, Sweat, Fun – in a young Hotel Operations Professional’s life”.
Global Banker Farooq Siddiqi, CEO Asia Pacific at Falcon Group London took the audience on a journey named “Born Again” in which he played with the idea of forgetting the past, acclimatising to the present and readying oneself for the future.
In another webinar, Chef Satya Prakash Pandey, Executive Chef at Radisson Blu Haridwar, shared his views on “A Chef’s Perspective on Hotel Kitchens and Client-immunity in Covid-19 World”.
In the next webinar, Prof Dipra Jha, Scholary Associate Professor with Washington State University’s Carson College of Business, laid focus on “Innovations on Online Teaching and embracing cutting-edge technology in a big way for impactful Learning during and post-Covid”.
Another webinar was organised by IHM Banglore in which Pratip Mazumdar, Director Shoolini School of Hospitality and Hotel Management was invited as a Guest Speaker where he shared his views on ‘”Journey from Gross Operating Profit to Human Capital Profit”.
A webinar on “Evolution of Awadhi and Mughlai Cuisine with Royal Anecdotes” was presented by Shahanshah Mirza, the 4th generation family member and Great,great Grandson of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, the last ruler of the kingdom of Awadh.
Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar organised a webinar in which Director Pratip Mazumdar from Shoolini School of Hospitality and Hotel Management was invited as a Keynote Speaker on the subject of “Transitioning between Gross Operating Profit to Human Capital Profit”.
The series of Webinars concluded with “Moments of Excellence at the Iconic The Imperial Hotel, New Delhi”. The speaker was Vijay Wanchoo, Senior Executive Vice President at the Janpath Imperial.
Role of moderator for the Webinar series was performed by Pratip Mazumdar, Director SHHM along with his Departmental Faculty Ankit Shukla, Chef Nagendra Yadav and Vineet Sharma with assistance from Dr. Kamalkant Vashisth, Director of Shoolini University’s eUniv and Learning Management Systems platform.
