Keeping the spirit of “Seva Parmo Dharma” and “Nar Seva Narayan Seva” alive, MLA Dr Janak Raj today donated 15 wheelchairs to the hospital administration at Medical College Chamba to facilitate smoother movement and better comfort for admitted patients.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Janak Raj said that human sensitivity and basic facilities are extremely important in healthcare services. He added that wheelchairs provide significant relief, especially for elderly patients, persons with disabilities, and critically ill individuals, helping them during treatment and hospital movement.
He emphasized that ensuring no inconvenience to patients and their attendants is a collective responsibility. The MLA also urged the hospital administration to ensure that these wheelchairs are made available on priority to the most needy patients, so that they receive both dignity and comfort during their treatment.
The hospital administration expressed gratitude for the contribution and stated that the wheelchairs will greatly assist in improving patient mobility and enhancing the overall quality of healthcare services.
Dr Janak Raj concluded by saying that similar efforts will continue in the future to strengthen public welfare and healthcare facilities.
