An impactful session on Empathy and Mindfulness was organised at Shoolini University in collaboration with the ITOO team, led by renowned speaker and mentor Mr Vivek Atray. The programme aimed to strengthen emotional intelligence, compassion, and meaningful human connection among students and faculty.
Engaging activities were conducted by Simar, Saumya Rishi, and Kiran, to encourage the participants to explore empathy through attentive listening, openness, and genuine interaction. These exercises helped attendees connect more deeply with one another and understand the importance of sensitivity in everyday life.
A major highlight of the session was the insightful address by Dr Ruchit Uppal, who emphasised that empathy acts as a bridge that nurtures relationships and builds understanding. His message resonated strongly with the audience, leaving a lasting impact.
The session also featured a calming and spiritually enriching message by Dr Saamdu Chetri, Director of the Yogananda School of Spirituality and Happiness. He spoke about mindful living, inner peace, and the need to remain grounded amidst life’s challenges, adding a serene dimension to the programme.
Adding further depth, social entrepreneur Mr Sony Goel shared an emotional and inspiring perspective on compassion and service. His words touched the hearts of participants and encouraged them to integrate kindness into their daily lives.
The event concluded with remarks by Mrs Poonam Nanda, Director of Sustainability and Community Engagement, she, focused on reinforcing the importance of practising empathy in both personal and professional spaces.
