On the occasion of International Day for biological diversity, an awareness session was organised at the Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management(SILB).
Rajiv Kumar, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests- wildlife wing, Himachal Pradesh was the chief guest and the resource person of the program. The session started with the felicitation of the chief guest by the SILB President, Mrs. Saroj Khosla.
Shalini Sharma Director of the Institute present the welcome note and introduced the chief guest to the audience.
While addressing the session Mr Rajiv Kumar shared his experiences and introduced the steps to conserve biodiversity. He also discussed the major threats and challenges to deal with and stated that nature has great healing power and the diversity losses due to human interventions can be separated gradually with time. People should be aware of their duties towards the environment and its conservation.
It was an interactive and insightful session for students and faculty of the Institute. SILB President, Saroj Khosla on behalf of the Institute thanked the speaker and appealed to everyone to contribute to conserve biodiversity and save our beautiful planet for a better tomorrow.
