Solan
A seven-day NSS (National Service Scheme) camp commenced with great enthusiasm at LR B.Ed Institute in Solan. The camp began with a prayer assembly under the leadership of NSS Coordinator Ms. Megha Thakur.
The inaugural ceremony was held in the gracious presence of Dr. Nisha Sharma, Principal of LR Institute of Education, and Mrs. Shachi Singh, Managing Director of LR Group. The event started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana.
On the occasion, second-year NSS volunteers Rahul Satta and Ritu shared their views on NSS and highlighted the objectives of the camp.
NSS Coordinator Ms. Megha Thakur informed that various sports activities will be organized during the camp, including volleyball, basketball, kho-kho, kabaddi, cricket, and badminton.
Along with sports, a cleanliness drive will also be conducted as part of the camp. Volunteers will visit nearby areas to carry out cleanliness activities and spread awareness about hygiene among the public.
Additionally, special lectures on various topics will be organized during the camp to promote the overall development of students.
Principal Dr. Nisha Sharma encouraged the volunteers to actively participate in sports and guided them for the successful conduct of the seven-day NSS camp.
