Shimla, September 24. National Service Scheme Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Government Senior Secondary School, Chiyog, on Wednesday. All volunteers registered with the school’s National Service Scheme unit participated enthusiastically, and various programs were presented on the occasion. Principal Sandeep Sharma presided over the program.
The program began with the volunteers performing the NSS Lakshya song, highlighting the importance of the National Service Scheme. Students also presented poetry recitations, speeches, and painting.
In his address, the Principal urged volunteers to work selflessly for social and national service, with true devotion and dedication. He said that students must maintain a healthy life by staying drug-free, only then can they contribute to society. The Principal rewarded volunteers and students who gave outstanding performances with dictionaries, stationery, and mementos.
NSS in-charge and spokesperson Vijayalakshmi and spokesperson Rakesh Rawat expressed their gratitude to the entire school family for the successful organization of the program. Staff Secretary Harikrishna Shastri and Rakesh Thakur, along with all the school’s professors, teachers, other staff, and students were present.
