Conclusion of two-day program on World Tourism Day at Technical University
Hamirpur. A two-day program was organized at Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur, to mark World Tourism Day. Students from the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management organized various competitions, including essay writing, Sanskrit shlokas, fruit carving, quizzes, two-minute talks, mocktails, tug-of-war, and travel blogs. The team of Advait and Gaurav won first place in the quiz, while the team of Saksham and Aryan won second place, and the team of Neha and Vishal won third place. Rahul won first place in essay writing, Advait Kaushal second, and Ipsa third. Shahid Ansari won first place in fruit carving. Atul won first place in mocktails. Rahul Dhiman won the two-minute talk. Sukanya’s team won the travel blog competition, and Shivani’s team was runner-up. Aarti won first place in Sanskrit shlokas, and Deepali second. Kishita won first place in difficult-to-pronounce words, while Hansika second and Deepali third. Adarsh’s team stood first in the model exhibition. In the cultural walk, Tanvi stood first, Palak and Nikhil second and Shivani and Kishita jointly third. In follow the beat, Mohit stood first, Shambhu second and Gargi third. Ayush Sankhyan was the winner in Gulab Jamun. The tourism department honoured all the winning participants. This year’s World Tourism Day was celebrated on the theme Tourism and Sustainable Change, in which apart from the tourism department, students from BHMCT and other departments also participated. Professors Dr Vineet, Dr Ayush, Payal Sood, Ajay Kumar were present on this occasion.
