Shimla district team won silver medal in rugby game

Shimla, December 28. The fourth Sub Junior State Level Under 15 category Rugby Championship was recently held in Paonta Sahib of Sirmaur. In which the boys and girls teams of Shimla district have brought laurels to the district by winning silver medals. Let us tell you that this championship was organized under the joint aegis of Himachal Pradesh Rugby Association and District Sirmaur Rugby Association. 24 boys and girls players from Shimla district participated in this competition. In which players from Government Senior Secondary School Mashobra, Mundaghat and Kaina, besides Maya Public School and MES Public School Mashobra have participated from Shimla district.
Shimla District Sports Incharge Nandlal Sharma stated that the district’s children have brought glory to the district by performing brilliantly in this competition for the first time, for which all the players deserve congratulations. He added that a national-level rugby competition will be held in Odisha in January, where players from Shimla district will also represent the state.
During this, team coaches Amar Thakur (student) and Surendra Singh (student) and team manager Usha Sharma were present.
