Shimla
A case FIR dated 16.06.2025 U/s 331(4), 305(a), 326(f), 324(5) BNS has been registered on the written complaint of Sh Jai Chand S/o Lt. Sh. Udia R/o Vill Jagoda PO Dhamandri Tehsil Theog District Shimla HP. He stated that he bought land in the village of Jagoda in the year 2016 and constructed a two-story house in the year 2018 and he and his family live here.
On 3/7/2025, his niece died in Shimla, after which he went to Shimla. Today, on 16/7/2025, at 6 AM Ramesh Chand of his village called him and told him that smoke was coming out from the second floor of his house, on which he asked him to go and check and after looking again, he told him that the main door was locked and the glass of the window was broken, on which he asked them to break the lock and extinguish the fire. When he came home from Shimla, he saw that there were two CCTV cameras installed in his house.
The camera was found to be uprooted and the clothes, blankets, etc., kept in the cupboard and the cupboard were found burnt to ashes. A small wooden box kept in the cupboard containing currency notes worth Rs. 65,000, all of which were of Rs. 500 and two gold bangles and a ring, a gold neck chain and a gold bracelet were found stolen along with the box. Inverter electricity was also found stolen.
A case has been registered on the above statement and investigation is underway
