A land dispute on the Dhali bypass in the Sanjauli police station area led to a commotion and a fight, resulting in both parties filing cross-complaints against each other. Several people, including a police officer, were injured in the incident. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police have registered three separate FIRs and initiated an investigation.
According to information, Anita Thakur, a resident of Chalauthi under the Sanjauli police station area, complained that Surendra Chauhan and his son were constructing an iron ramp on the land located on the Dhali bypass despite a court stay order. When she protested, Surendra Chauhan and his son blocked her way, manhandled her, and threatened to kill her. Based on her statement, the first case was registered at the Sanjauli police station.
Surendra Chauhan stated in his complaint that he, along with his son, Sannidhya Chauhan, and other workers were constructing an iron ramp near a building when Anita Thakur arrived, began abusing them, and asked them to stop. Meanwhile, 8 to 10 people arrived with Anita Thakur and began pelting stones at her and the workers. Meanwhile, two young men on a bike from Chalonthi began kicking and punching her, her son, and Constable Sunil, who was present at the scene. Seeing the fight escalate, they called their relative, who rushed them and the injured policeman to IGMC Shimla for treatment. Surendra Chauhan has demanded strict action against Anita Thakur and her associates.
A third complaint was filed by Constable Sunil, who was present at the scene with ASI Kuldeep Kumar at the time of the incident. He stated that he suffered injuries to his left eye and other parts of his body during the scuffle. He also accused Anita Thakur and her supporters of stone pelting and assault. Based on all the complaints, Sanjauli police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
