Fraudulent individuals duped a woman of lakhs of rupees by promising her a flat in the city. Three individuals are accused of defrauding her of 23 lakh rupees. A fraud case has been registered at Baluganj police station and an investigation has been initiated.
The complainant, a native of Rohru, currently resides in Ram Nagar, Shimla. According to the complainant, two individuals, Shyam Lal Chauhan and Bilam Singh, promised to provide her with a flat in Ram Nagar.
Under this pretext, they took approximately 23 lakh rupees from her. However, neither the flat was delivered nor the money was returned, leaving the woman feeling defrauded.
On the victim’s complaint, the police have registered a case under sections 420 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code and have begun an investigation. Police are investigating where the accused went after taking the money and how they planned to defraud the victim.
