Bhoranj (Tarkwadi), Hamirpur District. Shivam Kanungo, a brilliant student from the region, has brought laurels to the state and region across the country by achieving All India Rank 2 (AIR-2) in the All India ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF 2025 exam through his talent and hard work. This success is a proud moment not only for his family, but for Hamirpur and Himachal Pradesh as a whole.
Shivam will now pursue his PhD from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), New Delhi. He completed his graduation from Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni (College of Horticulture and Forestry, Neri, Hamirpur) and his Master’s degree in Floriculture and Landscaping from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Jammu. He will now pursue a doctorate in the same subject.
Rajiv Rana, State Chairman of the Unorganized Workers and Employees Congress (KKC), Himachal Pradesh, honored and congratulated Shivam Kanungo on this extraordinary achievement at the state level. He said that promising students like Shivam are an inspiration to the youth of the state. This achievement proves that through hard work and dedication, students from the state are making their mark at the national level.
