In yet another feather in its cap, Shoolini University has been ranked number one in the country and number fourth world wide among universities that offer the strongest return on investment.
The world rankings have been released by the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) under its analysis “bang for buck” for the best outcomes relative to the funding inputs of various universities across the globe.
The data team of THE team came out with the analysis after crunching numbers and data already available with the organization to produce a powerful and illuminating “bang for buck” analysis.
Drawing on the millions of data points on global higher education held by it, THE data scientists have given each institution in the rankings a score by using three income metrics – institutional income, research income and industry income – and comparing them with the scores for research. , teaching and working with industry.
Sorbonne University and Universite Paris Cite, both based in France, topped the list while Brighton and Sussex Medical School of UK was ranked third.
Shoolini University, which was ranked fourth world wide, has topped all universities and educational institutions in the country. Significantly, the famous London School of Economics and Political Science has been ranked fifth globally in the category.
Chancellor Prof PK Khosla, while congratulating the researchers and faulting for the achievement, said such a standing of the university is not surprising as it was founded and run by academicians. He said that the university was a not-for-profit institution and making profits was never the intention of the promoters.
Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla said that rankings by THE- the gold standard of global rankings, indicates how efficient a university is and the return of investment it delivers. He said it was a matter of great pride that a 14 year old university has achieved this feat.
