Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU) Shimla organised a one-day seminar on the “Recent Trends of Library Resources and Services in Indian Universities.” The event took place at the university premises and witnessed the participation of dignitaries from the academic and library domains.
Mrs. Puja Thakur and Mrs. Neelam Thakur from Shoolini University attended the seminar attended the seminar, and Puja Thakur, Librarian at Dr. BR Ambedkar Law Library, Shoolini University, actively contributed to a Panel Discussion on the present status of libraries in the electronic era.
In the panel discussion, Mrs. Puja Thakur, delved into the challenges and opportunities presented by the electronic era in the context of libraries. The discourse touched upon the integration of technology, the evolving role of librarians, and the adaptation of libraries to meet the changing needs of students and researchers.
Other distinguished speakers of the seminar including Dr. Ranbir Singh, Pro Chancellor, IILM University Gurgaon; Prof. V Vijay Kumar, Director, NLIU Bhopal; Prof. Nishtha Jaswal, Vice-Chancellor, HPNLU Shimla; Prof. P.S Jaswal, Vice-Chancellor, SRM University; and Dr. Vikram K. Sharma, Librarian, Central University Dharamshala. Each speaker shared valuable insights and perspectives on the evolving landscape of library resources and trends in Indian universities.
