Shoolini University celebrated the 78th Raising Day of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) on 23rd November.
The chief guests for the event were Officiating SM Subedar Rajeev Kumar and Havildar Mohd. Tanveer Malik from the 1 HP Battalion NCC Solan. They were joined by Dr. Neeraj Gandotra, Associate Dean Student Welfare, Mr. Virender Singh, Assistant Director of Operations, and ANO Lt. Jyoti Kashyap from Shoolini University.
The programme included a series of performances and presentations by NCC cadets, showcasing their discipline, creativity, and commitment. Cadet leaders SUO Aditya Singh and UO Abdul Lateef delivered motivational speeches about their journey in NCC and encouraged junior cadets with valuable lessons from their experiences.
One of the highlights of the event was the address by Subedar Rajeev Kumar, who inspired the audience with the message: “Manzil unhi ko milti hai jinke sapnon mein jaan hoti hai, pankhon se kuch nahi hota, hauslon se udaan hoti hai.”
Several passed-out seniors also attended the celebration, sharing their memories and setting strong examples for the current cadets. The programme concluded with cultural performances, fun games, a cake-cutting ceremony, and the screening of the film “120 Bahadur.”
A vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Neeraj Gandotra, followed by ANO Lt. Jyoti, who encouraged students to follow NCC values and aspire for commissioned ranks in the Indian Armed Forces.
