Students and staff of Shoolini University celebrated 74th Independence Day at campus with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event was also organised virtually for all university students across India.
Celebrations began with the unfurling the national flag by Pro Chancellor Mr Satish Anand and Vice-Chancellor Prof P.K Khosla along. It was followed by the inauguration of “Project Mehgdoot” by Vice-Chancellor.
“Project Mehgdoot” is online networking system within the campus and high quality online classes through 50 e-studios which are constructed in the campus premises for the conduct of online classes only.
On the occasion Prof Khosla said “higher education is the foundation of the development of any nation and research should be utilised to boost the nation’s economy and industry should also be directly linked with higher educational intuitions”.
Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla said “Computer and internet is now the future of the world. He also added that if India has to become world power and need the best universities in the country, then we have to do things differently.” He also congratulated the students and wished a successful semester ahead”.
A cultural programme was organised on the occasion which was initiated with the dance and yoga demonstration by student Saakshi and a solo song by Ankita. Faculty members also participated in the stage activities which was started with poetry and song by Dr. Rohit Goyal, Controller of Examination at Soolini University.
Dr. Lalit and Dr. Navneet performed Krishan Bhajan, and letter reading by Prof Pratip Mazumdar on” Mahatma Gandhi’s Letter to Adolf Hitler”. A song was sung by Ankur Saxena and a retro dance by princess Adya. The entire event was coordinated by Ankur Saxena and Mr. Monohar. COVID-19 guidelines were also keeping in mind such as wearing masks and maintaining proper social distancing.
