Shoolini University commemorated 77th Independence Day with an awe-inspiring celebration of patriotism and academic distinction, reflecting the institution’s commitment to nurturing both national pride and educational excellence.
Chancellor Shoolini University Prof PK Khosla, who presided over the event, was given a guard of honour by NCC cadets before he hoisted the national flag.
The guest included Trustees Mr. Satish Anand and Mr. Ashok Anand. A solemn two-minute silence was observed to honour sacrifices of the nation’s martyrs, encapsulating the essence of unity and gratitude.
Chancellor Prof. Khosla then took the stage, he talked about dedication and hard work. He shared his inspiring journey of establishing the university and rallied everyone towards a shared vision of elevating Shoolini University to the heights of private education within the next five years.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Atul Khosla’s address to the audience, articulated four promises points of true freedom. One was ‘Freedom from Sloppiness’, ‘Freedom from the Fear of Failure’, ‘Freedom from Selfishness and Jealousy’, and ‘Freedom to Fly or Conquer’, exhorting everyone to strive for excellence with unwavering passion. Acknowledging the environmental challenges facing the region, he emphasised the crucial role each member of the Shoolini family plays in preserving and safeguarding nature.
The event culminated in an uplifting acknowledgment of academic achievement, as Vice Chancellor Prof. Atul Khosla recognised the remarkable accomplishments of Prof. Deepak Kumar and his Ph.D student Vivek Panwar from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Their groundbreaking research paper published in the esteemed science journal, Nature, with a remarkable impact factor of about 40, exemplified the institution’s dedication to pioneering knowledge.
Director Operations Brigadier S.D Mehta delivered vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, faculty, students, and attendees. The entire event was organised by Dean Students Welfare Mrs. Poonam Nanda and her team.
