Shoolini University celebrated Prerna Diwas, an occasion observed annually to mark the birthday of Shoolini University Chancellor, Prof P K Khosla. The event brought together the entire university fraternity in a spirit of gratitude, inspiration, and renewed commitment to excellence and social responsibility.

The celebrations began with a havan at the University Temple, followed by a tree plantation drive at Vrindavan Garden, symbolising sustainability and the University’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
A key highlight of the day was the inauguration of important facilities, including the Ratan Tata Gallery, Tagore Seminar Hall and the Pehal Foundation Kiosk. These initiatives reflect the University’s continued focus on innovation, social impact and experiential learning.
Chancellor Prof P K Khosla, along with Mrs Saroj Khosla, President SILB, formally inaugurated the Project Pragati kiosk, an initiative of the Centre for Leadership Coaching in collaboration with the Shoolini Pehal Foundation. The kiosk provides a platform to promote products made by rural women entrepreneurs from nearby villages, including locally produced spices and value-added goods, helping them connect with wider markets.
Mr Vishal Anand, Pro-Chancellor, emphasised the importance of optimism and positivity. He said that Prof P. K. Khosla has always shown that a positive attitude and inner happiness are essential for meaningful success.
Prof Atul Khosla, Vice Chancellor, Shoolini University, described Prof P. K. Khosla as an inspiring leader and mentor. He said that Prof Khosla has a unique ability to bring people together and build strong relationships. He added that true success lies not only in achievements but also in remaining rooted in values, integrity and humility principles that continue to guide Shoolini University.
Addressing the gathering, Prof Ashish Khosla, Director Marketing and Innovation, Shoolini University, said, “Prerna Diwas reminds us that nothing is impossible. This is the most valuable lesson we have learned from our Chancellor, Prof P. K. Khosla. His vision, determination and resilience have shaped Shoolini University into an institution of excellence and continue to inspire us to achieve greater heights.”
Ms Payal Jindal Khanna, Associate Director and Head, Centre for Leadership Coaching, said that the core objective of Project Pragati is to enable rural women to move from being beneficiaries to becoming independent entrepreneurs. She also acknowledged the support of the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Food Technology, led by Dr Somesh Sharma and Dr Dinesh Chatanta, respectively, for their technical guidance. The contribution of Mr Rahul Bahadur from the Shoolini Pehal Foundation and the volunteers involved in the initiative was also recognised.
Mr Vishal Anand, Pro-Chancellor, Shoolini University, shared his vision of expanding the initiative to 100 villages in the coming phase, to strengthen systems, improve market access, and build a sustainable model for rural enterprise development.
The celebrations also included the traditional cricket match between Chancellor XI and Registrar XI at Yuvraj Stadium, in which Chancellor XI emerged victorious. The day concluded with a cultural programme at the Open Air Theatre, showcasing student talent, followed by a traditional dham, strengthening the spirit of unity and celebration across the campus.
