Shoolini University organised an exciting induction programme to warmly welcome its newest batch of students into the academic family. The induction was marked by an atmosphere of learning, interaction, and camaraderie.
The event was planned with the intention of familiarising the newly admitted students with the university’s campus and its distinct values.
Mrs. Poonam Nanda, Dean of Students Welfare, began the day, followed by traditional Saraswati Vandana. and set the tone for a day filled with engaging learning sessions.
Prof. Atul Khosla, Vice Chancellor Shoolini university, conveyed Shoolini’s core values to the students, encouraging them to aspire for greatness, embrace diversity, and cultivate friendships spanning various regions and disciplines. The students also took an oath, signifying their dedication to upholding the institution’s integrity and values.
Chief Learning Officer Shoolini University, Mrs. Ashoo Khosla, shared insights on fostering creativity within Shoolini’s academic environment.
Trustee and Director of Admissions, Ms. Avnee Khosla, revealed the university’s promise of placements, outlining exciting opportunities with renowned global corporations.
Dr. Rohit Goyal introduced students to the innovative Shoolini app and eUniv platform. Dean of Research, Professor Saurabh Kulshrestha, stressed the significance of research and innovation, kindling a mindset of creativity among the students.
Sessions on mental health and road safety was also organised for the students Dr. Purnima Bali and Ms. Ekta Singh delivered the sessions respectively. The marketing and communications team organised a lively quiz, while a guided campus tour allowed the newcomers to navigate their new academic home. Activities like Zumba infused the day with enthusiasm and energy.
As the students shared their experiences, Aditya Kumar from B. Com expressed his joy at being part of a global university and Palak Chauhan from BBA Finance and Marketing felt a strong sense of belonging.
The empowering fresh beginnings weren’t limited to the Undergraduate (UG) alone but also for the Postgraduate (PG) students as well. PG Induction carried forward the spirit of unity and growth. The PG Induction Programme emphasised the significance of research in postgraduate studies. The scope of research was thoughtfully discussed, highlighting opportunities for advanced exploration and intellectual contributions.
Sessions on mental health, road safety, ragging, and drug abuse were also organised for the PG Programmes too and emphasized on positivity and the importance of affirmations, these sessions aimed to equip students with life skills that extend beyond academics.
The induction days ended with a celebratory ‘Meet and Greet’ event in the Open-Air Theatre (OAT). The festive fostered connections among students and showcased the spirit of unity that Shoolini University champions.
