Peeran School celebrated annual prize distribution ceremony with pomp and show
Shimla 28 December. Government Senior Secondary School Peeran celebrated its annual prize distribution ceremony with great pomp on Thursday. In this ceremony, 12th class student Shreya and student Yoginder were awarded the title of Best Student of the Year. The school children were overjoyed after receiving the award. On this occasion, school children danced enthusiastically on Pahari Naati and received applause from the people. SMC President Neeraj Thakur attended as the chief guest.
Principal Mahesh Sharma welcomed the chief guest and presented the annual report of the school. In his address, he said that the annual function is a mirror of the year-long achievements of any teacher’s institute in which the meritorious students are encouraged and other students are inspired to move forward. On this occasion, the Chief Guest and the Principal awarded the children who achieved excellent positions in academic, sports, cultural and other activities during the academic session 2022-23.
On this occasion, Angel of class 6th, Aarushi of class 7th, Anjali of class 8th, Diya of class 9th and Mahi of class 10th, Shreya of class 11th and Niranjan of class 12th were awarded for standing first. Tamanna in poetry recitation in Veergatha, Aanchal in essay writing on road safety, Shubham in slogan writing and Manoj, Chirag and Rahul were awarded for getting excellent position in music in the district level sports competition. In Youth and Eco Club, Arnav in spoon race, Nitika in girl class, Vikram and Akhil in three legs race, Sumit, Isha, Mehak in Sanskrit language reading, Angel, Arnav, Dixit in English reading, Tammana, Parul in Hindi language. Manjeet, Bhumika in essay writing, Palak and Jyotika, Deeksha and Jatin got the prize in Hindi writing skill. Apart from this, Yaman, Jatin, Parikshit, Kritika, Sneha, Suryakant, Priyanka and Manisha were awarded the Best Volunteer award.
