SJVN successfully organized Special Vendor Development Meet 2026 for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at New Delhi today. Sh. Bhupender Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
The event commenced with lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest Sh. Bhupender Gupta, along with Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), Sh. Sipan Kumar Garg, Director (Finance), Sh. Chandra Shekhar Yadav, ED/HOD (HR) and other senior officials from Corporate Headquarters, Shimla, Liaison Office, Delhi and representatives from organizations associated with the Meet.
In his inaugural address, Sh. Bhupender Gupta stated that Special Vendor Development Meet 2026 will act as a catalyst for forging new partnerships, unlocking fresh opportunities and strengthening collaborations. He highlighted that since 2018, SJVN has organized 36 Vendor Development Meets, reaffirming its commitment to vendor empowerment. Emphasizing that MSME growth is integral to SJVN’s progress, he underscored need to integrate SC/ST and women-owned MSMEs into mainstream economic ecosystem and enhance their participation in SJVN’s procurement processes.
Addressing the gathering, Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), stated that SJVN has been proactively engaging with MSMEs to achieve its procurement targets and extend benefits of public procurement to MSEs, including SC/ST and women-owned enterprises. He said that these initiatives foster a self-reliant, future-ready and inclusive MSME network, contributing to the vision of AatmaNirbhar Bharat.
Sh. Sipan Kumar Garg, Director (Finance), stated that SJVN is committed to closely engaging with MSMEs, which form the backbone of Indian economy. MSMEs play a pivotal role in realizing the vision of Vikshit Bharat 2047, as envisaged by Hon’ble Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. He emphasized that SJVN seeks to cultivate a collaborative hub of knowledge sharing and exchange of best practices with MSMEs.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Sh. Chandra Shekhar Yadav, Executive Director (HR). He conveyed heartfelt thanks to the Chief Guest, participating vendors and officials from various organizations. He reiterated that such Meets have proved immensely beneficial in streamlining procurement processes while simultaneously empowering MSEs and strengthening their engagement with SJVN.
During the Meet, detailed presentations were delivered by representatives from SJVN, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, National SC-ST Hub, Government e-Marketplace, Quality Council of India, DTX, M1 Exchange, Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs to familiarize participating vendors with available opportunities and procurement procedures. The presentation session was followed by interactive Q&A and discussion sessions aimed at creating awareness about SJVN’s e-Procurement process, registration procedures on various online portals and range of schemes and support measures available to vendors.
