Inauguration of projects worth Rs 19.75 lakh in Ward No. 10
Solan is a prestigious tourist destination globally, said Col. Dr. Dhaniram Shandil, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Social Justice and Empowerment, and Soldiers’ Welfare. Dr. Shandil was addressing a public meeting here today.
Earlier, Dr. Shandil inaugurated the CCTV installed at a cost of Rs 10 lakh in Ward No. 10 of Solan Municipal Corporation and the newly constructed paver blocks on the Kotla Nala to District Education and Training Institute road at a cost of Rs 9.75 lakh.
The Health Minister stated that the cleaner and more beautiful Solan becomes, the more tourists will arrive. He added that Solan’s cleanliness and beauty will significantly improve the economy of its residents. He emphasized the need to further strengthen the city’s sanitation and door-to-door garbage collection system. He stated that in order to improve the water distribution system, the state government will oversee the water distribution and sewerage system in the future under the supervision of the Jal Shakti Department.
He urged the people to stay away from drugs and actively cooperate in the efforts to make the state a drug-free state.
The Health Minister stated that the Municipal Corporation needs to become self-reliant in the field of waste management. He urged everyone to work together in this direction. He added that the installation of CCTV cameras in Ward No. 10 will curb drug trafficking and improve security.
On this occasion, information was also provided about the developmental works done in Ward No. 10.
