Kasauli, March 28, 2026 — The “Sai Asmita Khelo India: Empowering Women Through Volleyball City League” concluded on a high note at Kasauli International Public School (KIPS), Sanwara, after two days of spirited competition and enthusiastic participation. The tournament, held from March 27 to 28, aimed at promoting women’s empowerment through sports while encouraging greater participation of girls in volleyball.
Teams from across the region displayed impressive skills and determination throughout the league. In the final standings, the Solan team emerged as champions after a series of closely contested matches. The host team, Kasauli International Public School, secured the second position, while Geeta Adarsh Vidyalaya, Solan, finished third.
The event not only highlighted the growing interest of young women in sports but also provided a platform for them to showcase their talent and teamwork. The matches witnessed strong performances, competitive spirit, and sportsmanship among all participating teams.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Subhash Chandra appreciated the initiative taken by the school, stating that such events play a crucial role in shaping confidence, discipline, and leadership among young girls. He also lauded the institution for its consistent efforts in promoting both academics and sports.
The school’s Managing Director congratulated all participants and emphasized that organizing such competitions helps in nurturing sporting talent while strengthening the idea of women empowerment. CEO Dr. Sanjeev Mainra and Principal Mrs. Poonam Thakur expressed gratitude to all teams, guests, and organizers for making the event successful.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the achievements of the winners and participants, marking a successful end to the vibrant volleyball league.
