Students of Management Sciences at Shoolini University celebrated Sri Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Sri Ganesh Chaturthi, according to the Hindu calendar, commences on the fourth day (Chaturthi) of the Bhadrapada month, which typically falls between mid-August to September.
During the festivities at Shoolini University, students participated in all four key rituals, Pranapratishhtha: The installation of beautifully decorated Ganesha idols at Maa Kali Temple with a ritual to invoke life into the idols. Shhodashopachara: Offering prayers to Lord Ganesha in 16 different ways with various rituals. Uttarpuja: A ritual to bid farewell to Lord Ganesha with deep respect. Ganpati Visarjan: A ceremony where the Ganesha statue is immersed in water. During this process, the chant, “Ganapati Bappa Morya, Purchya Varshi Laukariya” (“Goodbye Lord, please come back next year”), is popularly recited.
The celebration not only upheld the rich cultural and spiritual traditions associated with Sri Ganesh Chaturthi but also emphasized the importance of unity, environmental consciousness, and the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom among students.
The auspicious event was attended by Mrs. Ashoo Khosla, Chief Learning Officer of Shoolini University, Mrs. Poonam Nanda, Dean Student Welfare, Mr. Ashish Khosla, President of Innovation and Marketing, and Dr. Chandar Mohan Gupta, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Management Sciences.
