Chamba: St. Stephen’s Senior Secondary School has received official recognition from the ICSE Board. This is a major achievement for the school and the education sector in Chamba.
School Chairman Vishal Strawala said the school was started in Mandi in 1976 and later shifted to Chamba in 2004. In the beginning, the school ran in a rented building. In 2016, a new campus was built in village Baniag, and the school shifted there in 2017.
To get ICSE approval, the school improved its facilities. It built modern examination halls, science and computer labs, and a high-tech library. After two inspections, the ICSE Council granted recognition.
The ICSE board is known for its strong curriculum. English Language and Literature are taught separately. From Class 6, science is divided into Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. From Class 9, students can choose subjects according to their interests.
The Chairman said this recognition is not just an achievement but a promise to provide better education and prepare students for the future.
