Participated in Dussehra celebrations held at Navgaon and Batal
Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi said that the state government is committed to the balanced development of rural areas and to achieve this objective, new schemes are being implemented to provide relief to various sections. Sanjay Awasthi was addressing the closing ceremony of the two-day Dussehra festival organized by the Yuva Jagriti Club in Gram Panchayat Navgaon and the Dussehra Mela Committee in Gram Panchayat Batal of Arki Assembly constituency last evening.
Sanjay Awasthi said that Dussehra symbolizes the victory of good over evil. He said that it is essential to incorporate the teachings and values imparted by Lord Shri Ram into our lives.
The MLA stated that such events play a vital role in keeping youth away from addiction and introducing them to ancient culture. He emphasized that the younger generation should be aware of their culture and values. Knowledge of history and culture not only guides future generations on the right path but also helps protect them from various evils. He added that drug addiction has become a widespread problem today. We must all work together to protect the younger generation from addiction.
Sanjay Awasthi said that like in 2023, Himachal Pradesh has been hit by a natural disaster due to heavy rainfall this year. He said that we all must work together to deal with the tragedy of the disaster. He said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the state government is making every possible effort to help the disaster-affected people. He expressed his heartfelt condolences to those who lost their loved ones in the disaster.
The MLA said that under the sensitive leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, various schemes have been launched to enhance the economy of rural areas. The minimum support price of cow and buffalo milk has been increased significantly. He said that further increases will be made in the future to further enhance the economic well-being of farmers and livestock farmers.
On this occasion, artists associated with the Information and Public Relations Department created awareness about the welfare schemes of the government through songs and music.
On this occasion, Sanjay Awasthi also awarded the winners of the prize coupon competition organized by Ramleela Club Navgaon.
The MLA announced to give Rs 3 lakh to Yuva Jagriti Club Navgaon for the construction of community building and Rs 21 thousand to Ramleela Club Navgaon.
Sanjay Awasthi announced to give Rs 1.50 lakh for stage construction work in Batal, Rs 1 lakh for Yuvak Mandal Bhawan, about Rs 24 lakh for Batal Chowk beautification, Rs 10 lakh for indoor badminton court, Rs 3 lakh for community hall Batal and Rs 31 thousand to the organizing committee.
MLA and daughter-in-law of Baghal State, Mayurakshi Singh, on this occasion honoured renowned litterateur Amar Dev Angiras with Raja Rajendra Singh Excellence Award.
On this occasion, he also listened to the problems of the people and instructed the officials to resolve them quickly.
