Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi said that the state government is committed to providing quality education to the children of the state. Sanjay Awasthi was addressing the foundation day function at Government Senior Secondary School Basantpur in Arki assembly constituency today.
Sanjay Awasthi said that various positive steps have been taken by the state government to bring quality in education. He said that knowledge of English language is essential to move ahead in the current competitive era. Keeping this need in mind, the state government has started teaching in English from the first class in all government schools.
He said that the state government has started Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Student Loan Scheme to provide quality education to the students of economically weaker sections of the state. Under this scheme, loans are being provided to eligible students of the state at one percent interest rate for pursuing diploma and degree courses in professional and technical education such as engineering, medicine, management, para-medical pharmacy, nursing, law etc. and technical courses from industrial institutes, polytechnic institutes and PhD from recognized educational institutes and universities. Under the scheme, provision has been made for education loan up to a maximum of Rs. 20 lakh.
The MLA said that under the ambitious ‘Mukhyamantri Sukh Shiksha Yojana’, the state government is bearing the expenditure on the education of the children of all widowed women whose annual income is less than Rs 1 lakh. Apart from this, a provision has also been made to provide Rs 1000 per month in the RD account of all eligible children of widowed, destitute, divorced and disabled parents till the age of 18 years.
He said that along with education, the state government is working with the objective of providing better health facilities to the people. He said that 07 specialist doctors are working in the civil hospital of Arki to provide better health facilities to the people. He said that in the coming time, better health facilities will be provided in the civil hospital.
After this the MLA also inaugurated the wrestling competition.
Sanjay Awasthi said that an amount of Rs 15 lakh has been sanctioned for the expansion of the school grounds and the work will start soon. He said that an amount of about Rs 41 lakh has been sanctioned to connect Basantpur and nearby villages with the Gambhar Khad lift drinking water scheme.
He announced to give one lakh rupees for the repair of the entrance gate of Government Senior Secondary School Basantpur. He announced to give two lakh rupees for the construction of a library on the building of Mahila Mandal Bhavani and an amount of 50 thousand rupees for the development of the premises of Mahila Mandal Basantpur.
He announced to give Rs. 11,000 each to Basantpur, Puraina, Kahdog and Harthu Mahila Mandals and Rs. 21,000 to the organizing committee. He also announced to give Rs. 2100 to the children who presented cultural programs.
He honoured Dimple Thakur, who scored 99 percent marks in class 10th, by presenting her a sum of Rs 2100.
He also heard the problems of the people on this occasion and gave instructions to the concerned officials for their immediate resolution.
