Work on irrigation scheme worth Rs 2.25 crore will start soon
Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Public Works, Health and Family Welfare and Information and Public Relations Department) Sanjay Awasthi said that the state government is working towards providing future-oriented education so that our students can successfully face the challenges of the future. Sanjay Awasthi was today addressing the annual prize distribution ceremony of Government Senior Secondary School in Gram Panchayat Balera of Arki Assembly constituency of Solan.
Earlier, the Chief Parliamentary Secretary had inaugurated the building of Government High School, Jobdi, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 59.6 lakh at Jobdi in Gram Panchayat Sarli, the Primary Health Center building, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.56 crore, at Banj Ki Hatti of Gram Panchayat Balera and the building at Balera. Performed the bhoomi pujan of the Horticulture Extension Center building to be constructed at a cost of Rs 27.2 lakh.
Sanjay Awasthi said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the state government is emphasizing on the use of modern technology in all schools. Smart classes are being started in various schools on a phased basis. He said that such courses are being offered to the youth through ITI which can meet the present and future demands. Along with drone service technician, electric vehicle mechanic and solar energy technician courses are being started in various industrial training institutes of the state.
He said that students have to learn to acquire knowledge because knowledge is the real power which teaches a man to move forward in any kind of situation. He urged teachers and parents to impart values to the young generation as per their culture. He said that only culture-based education can make the young generation better citizens. He urged the students to imbibe their traditions and values.
Sanjay Awasthi said that the state government is working to provide better education. While the Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding Schools to be established at the school level will emerge as a model, at the higher education level, work is being done to provide quality education to the students at their doorstep. He said that the government’s far-reaching thinking will soon yield positive results in Arki assembly constituency.
He announced a sum of Rs 05 lakh for the construction of additional four rooms in Government Senior Secondary School, Balera. He said that the work of irrigation scheme worth Rs 2.25 crore for Gram Panchayat Sai and adjoining areas will be started soon. He said that the demand for setting up an Ayurvedic dispensary in Jundla will be placed before the Chief Minister.
He announced to provide Rs 3100 to the students presenting cultural programs and Rs 21 thousand to the organizing committee.
He announced to donate one lakh rupees from his discretionary fund for the sports ground of Government High School Jobdi. He also announced a donation of Rs 2100 from his side for the students of the school.
On this occasion, the Chief Parliamentary Secretary honored the students of the school for their excellent performance in academic and sports competitions.
On this occasion, colorful cultural programs were also presented by the school children.
Gram Panchayat Balera head Ashish Kumar welcomed the chief guest. Principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Balera, Manil Kumar presented the annual report.
