HPBOCW is implementing 14 schemes for the welfare of workers – Nardev Singh Kanwar
Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi said that the state government is implementing several schemes to simplify the lives of people and strengthen their economy. Sanjay Awasthi was addressing an awareness program organized by the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (HPBOCW) in Kunihar of Arki assembly constituency today.
Earlier, Sanjay Awasthi also performed the bhoomi pujan of the sub-tehsil building constructed at a cost of Rs 1.31 crore in Kunihar.
The MLA said that various schemes are being implemented by the government under the sensitive leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. Chief Minister Sukhashray Yojana is one such scheme, through which helpless children are being supported. Under the Sukhashray Yojana, eligible children are adopted as guardians by giving them the status of Children of the State. Under this scheme, a Chief Minister Sukhashray Fund of Rs 101 crore has been constituted. He said that under the Chief Minister Sukhashray Yojana, apart from the expenses of education, Rs 4 thousand per month is being provided to the beneficiary children for pocket expenses. Along with the provision of 03 biswa land for building a house for the children, financial assistance of Rs 0.3 lakh is also being provided. He urged everyone to spread the information of this scheme to the eligible children.
Sanjay Awasthi appreciated the work being done by the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. He said that every eligible family and person should get the benefit of the schemes being implemented by the board so that their life can become simpler. He hoped that in the future such programs will be organized in every assembly constituency so that people can get information about it.
He said that the all-round development of Arki assembly constituency is his priority. He said that the chief minister has given verbal approval to establish Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School to provide quality education in the area. While this will provide better education to the children of the area, it will also provide employment to the youth.
On this occasion, the MLA distributed induction stoves to 04 families registered by Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
On this occasion, he listened to the problems of the people and gave instructions for their immediate resolution.
Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Chairman Nardev Singh Kanwar announced financial assistance of Rs 12.15 lakh for 52 registered workers of Arki Assembly constituency.
He said that currently 14 welfare schemes are being implemented by the Board. These schemes are aimed at addressing the socio-economic challenges of the workers and their families and to provide them the assurance that the Board stands with them in difficult times. He said that these schemes range from education scholarships, marriage grants and maternity benefits to health assistance and housing assistance.
