The affected people are getting the roads opened by getting machines installed by themselves and asking for help from the people
Shimla: BJP MLA from Nachan and BJP State Secretary Vinod Kumar said that the state is going through a difficult phase of disaster. There is devastation in many places. Public facilities have not been fully restored. In such a situation, the Public Works Minister is nowhere to be seen. The disaster affected people are waiting for him. Most of the roads are still not fully opened. Most of the roads are closed. The people of the state want to know where he is? At the time when he should have stood with us to speed up the disaster relief work, he is not seen.
Vinod Kumar said that the work of restoration of roads is not happening at the speed at which it should have been done. In many places, people have been forced to install machines with their own resources to open the roads. Because the Public Works Department has not reached there yet. Due to the closure of most of the rural and link roads, people are not able to reach hospitals when needed, let alone normal movement and there is a lot of difficulty in reaching relief material to them. Most of the disaster-affected areas are related to agriculture, horticulture and flower cultivation. Most of the products get spoiled quickly and they have to be delivered to the market on time. Due to bad roads, even the crops that have survived the disaster are not able to reach the market. When the disaster-affected state needs the Honorable Minister the most, the Honorable Minister is nowhere to be seen.
