State level Maa Shoolini fair to be organized from 20 to 22 June – Manmohan Sharma

Deputy Commissioner Solan Manmohan Sharma said that the famous state-level Maa Shoolini Fair of District Solan will be organized on 20, 21, and 22 June this year. Manmohan Sharma was chairing a meeting with the district officials here today for organizing the state-level Maa Shoolini Fair 2025.
He said that like every year, this year the fair would be organized grandly and successfully with the cooperation of all the departments.
Manmohan Sharma said that the district administration would try to ensure that this fair not only becomes more traditional and better this year but also is completely successful in its organization.
He said that it would be necessary to obtain prior permission from the sub-divisional magistrate Solan for the stores to be organized at various places in the three-day fair. Various competitions will be organized in the fair. He said that this year various games will be organized separately for girls.
Manmohan Sharma said that the district police will work according to the prescribed plan to maintain law and order and smooth traffic during the fair period. He had a detailed discussion with the Superintendent of Police, Solan, in this regard.
He said that for security purposes, all necessary places will be monitored through CCTV cameras. He also issued necessary instructions to the police administration in this regard.
The Deputy Commissioner said that suggestions would be taken from all the government members for the successful organization of the fair.
He directed all departments to keep a plan ready and follow the prescribed standard procedures in view of the movement of devotees in the fair. He said that all precautionary measures will be adopted in view of the crowd at the fair site and Solan city. He also directed to keep all preparations to deal with any emergency situation during the fair. He said that during the fair period, connecting roads should be kept open for the movement of ambulances, etc. The cooperation of the general public will also be expected in this direction.
Manmohan Sharma said that a grand procession, exhibition, and painting competition will be organized in the fair. A healthy baby show, flower show, dog exhibition, and cultural programs will be organized in the fair.
He said that Himachali artists will be given due place and respect in the cultural evenings of the fair.
The Deputy Commissioner gave instructions to take special care of cleanliness in the fair.
In the meeting, important topics, including sports, painting competition, baby show, dog competition, cultural program, souvenir publication, etc., were discussed in detail.
Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh provided detailed information regarding security and other measures in the meeting.
Assistant Commissioner Solan Narendra Chauhan conducted the proceedings of the meeting.
