Following approval from the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, the State Selection Commission (Procedure and Operations) has notified Rules 2024. Under this, new guidelines have been issued regarding the credentials required by candidates for Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Below Poverty Line (BPL) at the time of application. In the absence of valid certificates for these categories, they can submit them later by submitting an affidavit. The Commission has established the procedures for conducting and passing the examination.
The Commission will also establish a strong room to preserve examination records. This means that the new rules will be applicable to future recruitments conducted by the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission, Hamirpur. Any department, corporation, board, or PSU wishing to recruit through the Commission will be required to provide information within a specified timeframe. The Commission will provide a suitable online interface on its official website through which the concerned departments or other agencies can submit requisitions.
The web-based system will ensure that no requisition will be considered complete unless the required documents are submitted as per a prescribed checklist, such as recruitment and promotion rules, approval of the competent authority for filling the vacancies, and other relevant documents, acceptance or rejection, etc. Any queries will be addressed at the Secretary level within the stipulated timeframe through the online system.
The date of application, minimum educational qualifications, experience, sports and NCC claims are key criteria for online recruitment. Criteria have also been set for submitting, accepting, and rejecting certificates. Advertisements for new recruitment have also been provided, and examination records and CCTV footage will be preserved in a strong room. The Controller of Examinations will be responsible for the custody of the strong room, with the second key held by an officer authorized by the Commission.
