Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition retaliated during the press conference in Mandi
He said that Congress could not fulfill the guarantees it had given before coming to power. Today, the two-year tenure of the state government has become a mockery across the country.
Mandi: Leave my worries aside and worry about your shaking chair which can fall anytime. After getting rebuked by his national president Mallikarjun Kharge ji for false guarantees, the Chief Minister has now become uncomfortable and is afraid of losing his chair anytime. During a press conference in Mandi, former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur retorted that the guarantees given by Congress before coming to power, they could not fulfill them and as a result, today the two-year term of the state government has become a spectacle across the country. Now even their national president has become uncomfortable with their false guarantees. The guarantees given by Congress before coming to power, they have not been able to fulfill them. Jairam Thakur said that the CM is saying that the Leader of Opposition is busy saving his throne, whereas in the state government, the chair of CM Sukhwinder Singh seems to be shaking more. The CM, who accuses BJP of lying, is himself telling a new lie every day. Due to which, today his ministers and MLAs are angry with their own government and are holding separate meetings in protest. Yesterday, the CM had to call the ministers to his house in a hurried meeting, due to which it seems that CM Sukhu’s chair is shaking. After the embarrassment being faced by this government, which changes its decisions every day after issuing the notification, the Chief Minister has specially assigned the ministers to answer the BJP so that they can avoid embarrassment, but no minister is able to muster the courage to come forward because they are also afraid of their defeat due to such decisions of the Chief Minister.
The Leader of Opposition said that today there are fights between the ministers and him regarding inauguration. Referring to the state’s first ropeway in Panoh of Mandi district, he said that this ropeway has been completed with the help of NABARD at a cost of 55 crores, but due to the infighting among Congress leaders, the inauguration of this ropeway is now pending, because the Congress leaders want to take the credit for this ropeway, whereas the previous BJP government has brought this project. When I myself met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, I had said that the ropeway is more convenient in view of the difficult geographical conditions in Himachal. This was the first such project in the country which is funded by NABARD but it has been prepared by our government.
Jairam Thakur said that the era of guarantees given by political parties to the public to gain power should end. For this, the Election Commission should issue a guideline for all political parties and independent leaders contesting elections. This is what he believes. All leaders should be bound to contest elections under this guideline of the Election Commission. Congress has not been able to fulfill the guarantees it had given before coming to power. Due to which, the two-year tenure of the state government has become a mockery across the country.
He said that whatever guarantees Prime Minister Narendra Modi gives, he also implements them completely, this is the difference between BJP and other parties. Congress was thinking that their guarantees will work in Haryana and Jammu Kashmir but when we exposed the reality of their guarantees, they had to return the chariot of victory celebration. It has become clear from the Haryana elections that now the public trusts only the guarantees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP. During this time, BJP State Spokesperson Ajay Rana, State Vice President Payal Vaidya, BJP District President Nihal Chand Sharma, Municipal Corporation Mayor Virendra Bhatt were present with him.
