An inspirational program was organized by B.Ed. trainees at Lakshya Institute of Education with the aim of spreading awareness about de-addiction. Under the program, youth were made aware of the ill effects of drug addiction through street play and drama presentation.
B.Ed. trainees showed through lively acting, powerful dialogues and emotional presentation how drug addiction leads to destruction of life and how important is the role of family and society to protect against it. The drama depicted how peer pressure and unintentional mistakes can push youth into drug addiction, but with the right guidance and support they can be pulled out of it.
At the end of the program, the Principal of the institute addressed everyone with her inspirational words. Appreciating the trainees, she said that a teacher is the creator of the society and it is our responsibility to spread awareness on such issues. She inspired the students to continue such creative efforts in the future as well.
The teachers and other staff members of the institute were also present in the program, who appreciated the students and praised this social initiative. Everyone called this effort an important step towards a positive change.
