Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi said that it is essential for students to absorb the fundamentals of education so that they can easily face future challenges. Sanjay Awasthi was addressing the annual prize distribution ceremony at the Government Senior Secondary School, Lagdaghat, in the Arki assembly constituency yesterday.
The MLA also inaugurated 03 newly constructed additional rooms at the Government Senior Secondary School Lagdaghat campus at a cost of about Rs 30 lakh.
Sanjay Awasthi said that young people need to understand rather than memorize. Modern technology and mobile phones can be their greatest support in this direction. In this online age, mobile phones are in every hand, providing information about the entire world, but true knowledge remains incomplete. He urged young people to gain knowledge along with entertainment on their mobile phones. They should strive to obtain information through the right medium.
He urged parents to devote their time to the younger generation and to work to resolve their problems through mutual dialogue. He said that regular communication is extremely helpful in keeping them away from addiction.
The MLA stated that under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, positive changes have been made in the education system over the past three years. He added that work is underway to provide world-class education to children by improving education policies. With this vision, Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding Schools are being established in every assembly constituency in the state. This will not only provide children with world-class education but will also bring out their hidden talents.
Sanjay Awasthi said that the state government has launched various schemes for the welfare of the people. Chief Minister Sukhashray Yojana, Indira Gandhi Sukh Shiksha Yojana, and Dr. Y.S. Parmar Loan are such schemes. He urged everyone to ensure their participation in disseminating information about the government’s welfare schemes to eligible individuals.
The MLA said that the state government has initiated village-centric schemes to improve the rural economy. He added that the minimum support price for maize, wheat, and turmeric crops grown through natural farming has been increased. For the welfare of farmers and livestock farmers, the minimum support price for buffalo and cow milk has also been increased unexpectedly.
Sanjay Awasthi rewarded the meritorious students of the school and wished everyone a successful future.
He said that ₹8 crore has been approved for the Lagdaghat-Sun link road. The tender process will begin soon. He announced ₹4.50 lakh for the construction of the school’s examination hall, ₹21,000 for the organizing committee, and ₹5,100 for the school children.
On this occasion, Principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Lagdaghat, Harbhinder Pal welcomed all the dignitaries and presented the annual report.
On this occasion, colourful cultural programmes were presented by the students of the school.
Sanjay Awasthi then listened to public grievances under the Himachal Pradesh government’s “MLA Village Door” program and provided necessary guidance to the concerned departments for their prompt resolution. He said the main objective of this program is to establish direct contact between the state government and the public and to raise awareness about the state government’s policies and schemes.
