An effective awareness rally was organised by the Forestry College of Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry , Nauni against the deadly drug ‘ Chitta ‘ .
The campaign was launched by the Dean of the Forestry College. Dr. C.L. Thakur and Dean The rally was flagged off by Student Welfare Dr. H.P. Sankhyan. Addressing the students on the occasion, he emphasized the importance of youth participation in the fight against drug abuse and urged them to come forward to raise awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse in society.
National Service Scheme ( NSS) volunteers and students enthusiastically participated in the rally. The rally passed through the main campus, Nauni Bazaar, and reached the Nauni-Shamrod Panchayat. Through the rally, students highlighted the ill effects of chitta and raised awareness among youth about the dangers of this deadly addiction.
The campaign was conducted under the leadership of Anti-Chitta Campaign Nodal Officer Dr. Lalit Thakur and NSS officers Dr. Anita Kumari , Dr. Chandresh Guleria , Dr. Pratima and Dr. Nitin Sharma.
