*Government money distributed to women’s groups in Dehra by-election, serious allegation of vote bank creation*

Senior BJP spokesperson and former Sujanpur MLA Rajendra Rana alleged that the Himachal Pradesh Congress government, led by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, is steeped in corruption, lies, and dictatorship. He said that this government will go to any lengths to retain power and loot public money.
In a statement issued today, Rajendra Rana said that in the Dehra Assembly by-election, ₹50,000 each was distributed to 67 women’s groups through the Kangra Cooperative Bank, and Chief Minister Sukhu openly looted the public treasury to garner maximum votes for his wife. This is not only corruption but also the murder of democracy.
The BJP leader said the opposition had raised the issue numerous times inside and outside the Assembly, but the Sukhu government had maintained a shameful silence. He said the government was neither admitting to corruption nor denying it, even though the public was fully aware of the scam.
*Accused of selling a hotel worth Rs 44 crore for just Rs 24 crore*
Rajendra Rana claimed that, on Chief Minister Sukhu’s instructions, a hotel worth ₹44 crore was sold for only ₹24 crore through a one-time settlement. This is a direct fraud and robbery of the state treasury.
The former MLA said that the recent natural disaster destroyed thousands of homes and devastated many families. The main reason for this was illegal logging and an active forest mafia. The felled trees floating in the rivers clearly indicate that the government has either failed to provide protection or is protecting the forest mafia.
Rajendra Rana also accused the government of suppressing a multi-billion dollar scam within the Power Corporation, saying that scams worth crores of rupees were openly taking place within the Power Corporation. When an honest officer tried to expose this, he lost his life.
