BJP MP and Lok Sabha member from Himachal Pradesh, Suresh Kashyap, raised an important question in the Lok Sabha regarding the impact of the ‘MY Bharat 2.0’ digital platform in connecting youth with nation-building initiatives.
Through Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 344, Kashyap sought comprehensive details from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports about the platform’s objectives, features, and youth participation data.
According to the government’s reply, MY Bharat 2.0 has been developed to digitally connect young citizens with volunteer opportunities, leadership development programs, skill-building initiatives, and other nation-building activities.
Key Features of MY Bharat 2.0
As per the ministry’s response, the platform includes:
Dedicated mobile applications for Android and iOS
AI-based Smart CV Builder and Digital Youth Profiles
Program Outcomes Analytics Dashboard for institutions
Advanced tools such as Speech-to-Text, Voice-Assisted Navigation, and AI Chatbot
Learning modules and digital badges for skill recognition
Integration with Aadhaar, DigiLocker, Bhamini and other Government of India platforms
Accessibility in 22 languages to bridge the digital divide

The Lok Sabha reply also highlighted significant engagement figures:
22,76,829 youth joined Volunteer Opportunities (VOs)
97,590 youth participated in the Experiential Learning Programme (ELP)
39,33,802 total participations recorded in quizzes on the portal
70,973 participants in essay competitions
These numbers reflect the growing digital participation of youth in national service, competitive activities, and leadership platforms.
Statement by Suresh Kashyap
Suresh Kashyap stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, youth are being empowered not merely as beneficiaries but as active contributors to nation-building. He emphasized that platforms like MY Bharat 2.0 are effectively channeling the energy, talent, and aspirations of young Indians toward the country’s development.
He further assured that sustained efforts will be made through Parliament to strengthen such initiatives, ensuring maximum opportunities for youth across the country, including Himachal Pradesh.
