Lahaul-Spiti, April 6
A road accident was reported in the Kolong area of Lahaul subdivision on Monday afternoon after a taxi was struck by falling stones.
According to information received from Patwar Circle Kolong, the incident occurred around 1:20 PM at Mosuma Thetup Kurkur under Mahal Bok. A taxi bearing registration number HP01KA3006 was hit by debris falling from the hillside, causing damage to the vehicle on the spot.
Three people were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident, including driver Deepak Tamang and passengers Manojit Singh Roy along with his wife Paulini Singha.
While the driver escaped unhurt, the passenger couple sustained minor injuries. They were immediately shifted to Regional Hospital Keylong, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
Authorities have taken note of the incident.
