The rural economy of the state is getting stronger – Harish Jarnatha

Addressing the function, the chief guest said that Chaohara and Kupvi blocks are aspirational development blocks and with the cooperation of the government, administration and public, better work is being done in both these blocks. Niti Ayog has recorded improvement in three indicators of both blocks. In such a situation, it is a matter of pride for all of us that the efforts of the government and administration are getting success. I am hopeful that soon both the blocks will come out of the aspirational block after improving in every standard.
He said that now the demand for local products is increasing in the market. While this is providing self-employment to women in rural areas while sitting at home, the extinct products have also started to revive. The state government has united the self-help groups under the Him Era brand. Today the products of Himachal Pradesh are reaching all over the world. The goal of the state government is to strengthen the rural economy and we are moving forward in this direction. He also appealed to the general public to sell local products through self-help groups.
During this, many dignitaries including Additional Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Verma, District Development Officer Kartikeya Sharma, District Program Officer Mamta Paul were present.

During the function, the Chief Guest honored Block Medical Officer, District Program Officer, BDO Kupvi, BDO Chauhan, CDPO Kupvi, CDPO Chauhan, BPO Chauhan, MMS Specialist Chauhan, BPO Kupvi, Agriculture Expert Kalpana, Agriculture Expert Rakesh Sharma, ABF Sheetal Sharma, NRLM Area Coordinator Chauhan, NRLM Kupvi Mission Executive for their excellent work in the aspirational development block Chauhan and Kupvi.

Self-help groups organized an exhibition of local products
Stalls have been set up in Padamdev Complex under Akanksha Haat by the self-help groups of both the development blocks, in which an exhibition of local natural products has been set up, which will continue till 08 August 2025. Apart from this, local people and tourists will be able to buy products from these stalls. The chief guest inspected all the stalls and also appreciated the work of the self-help groups.
