During the seven-day NSS camp in LRB B.Ed. Department, Solan, the third day started today with the theme “Think before you click” on cyber fraud. In this program, the Pradhan of Sanhol Panchayat Mrs. Kusum Thakur, Ward Member Mrs. Heera Devi, Academic Director of LR Institute Dr. PP Sharma, former Director Academic and Principal of Law Department Dr. RP Nanta were specially present. NSS Co-ordinator Megha Thakur gave an account of the activities to be held during the 7 days.
Under the activities of the third day, she made the trainer volunteers aware about cyber security. In this session, Assistant Professor of Law Department Dr. Anita Verma made the B.Ed NSS volunteers aware about the reasons of cyber fraud and the measures to avoid them through a lecture. During the second session, under the leadership of the Gram Panchayat Pradhan, the villagers and shopkeepers of Kyar village were given a message under the theme of cyber security not to share the OTP and password of the mobile with any unknown person and not to click on any unknown message. LR Institute’s Director (Student Quality and Welfare) Shachi Singh gave the motto “Stay Safe Online” and made children aware of 10 main points to avoid increasing cyber crimes. During the program, Principal of LRB B.Ed Department, Dr. Nisha Sharma motivated the B.Ed NSS volunteers to take maximum part in the field of national social service and to discharge social duties along with studies. She told that last year also a student from NSS was selected in the Pre RD Camp. This time also six students from NSS Volunteers have been selected in the developed Vibrant Program of Himachal Pradesh. On this occasion, all the teachers of the first and second year NSS volunteers and B.Ed department were present.
